- The sacrament of Matrimony celebrates the covenant of love.(Stoutzenberger 256) Through the sacrament the couple receive the grace they need to be true to their pledge. In which they say their vows to each other. Matrimony also celebrates the gift of children. When the couple produce children is there duty to raise them up through the church. When the couple celebrate marriage they celebrate happiness forever with one another. The liturgical celebration of marriage takes place when both people are fruitful and if not they take penance.(CCC 403)
- The celebration of two catholic people in marriage normally take place in Holy Mass. It happens in mass because because of all the connections to the Paschal Mystery.(CCC 405) Matrimony is a sacred bond between a man and a woman. This sacrament is very important because it is the only sacrament when to beings become one. This is also the only sacrament in which two people pledge to share God’s full agape love with each other. They will love others, but not as much as they love each other and God. The various liturgies abound in prayer of blessing and epistles asking God blessing on the new couple.(CCC 406 ) - The celebration of marriage celebrates the everlasting love and agape love given to us by God to spread to each other. This love is so great that we can only receive it by God himself. This is another reason why the Sacrament of marriage is so important. - Also if we did not have this sacrament we could not celebrate Gods love with each other as well as it is in Matrimony. If this sacrament had become what it is there would be no celebration of two people becoming one and hopefully expanding the church by raising kids. This sacrament celebrates Jesus love poured out for all even if not Christian they usually got though this process of Matrimony. - This sacrament is unique because it is a sacrament in which some take a vocation of chastity or less serious vocations to one another or themselves. This sacraments also celebrates the gift of having sex and raising up the kids of children of God and helping them become a man or woman God. When you see the kids faces you see Gods likeness in them and within them. This is what the sacrament of Matrimony celebrates and how this sacrament is unique from the others in many different ways. |
